This rug is designed by Pedro Montano. The zapotec weavers call this design "relampago", which translates to lightning. This striking lightning pattern with its' nuetral colors would fit into any color scheme. The natural dyes in this weaving came from pecan shells (brown shades) and moss (muted green tones). A striking weaving for any decor.
Edmundo has been a friend for nearly 20 years and now shares his showroom with his two sons, Fidel and Pedro. Each son has obviously inherited their father's talent and focus because the quality of their work is approaching Edmundo's. The Montano's are especially adept at dying their wool in the most contemporary colors.
