This rug is designed by Fidel Montano and is woven from excellent quality mohair imported from New Zealand. The design is also another popular zapotec motif called diamonds and greek keys which were found on their ancient pyramids. The rich browns and deep burgandy colors are perfect for the popular Tuscany interior decorating themes being used currently.
Edmundo has been a friend for nearly 20 years and now shares his showroom with his two sons, Fidel and Pedro. Each son has obviously inherited their father's talent and focus because the quality of their work is approaching Edmundo's. The Montano's are especially adept at dying their wool in the most contemporary colors.
